The Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable, hard-working General Labourer for an immediate start on a fast-paced residential new build development in the Mayfield area (EH22).
Working alongside the Site Manager and active trade teams, you will play a crucial role in maintaining site standards, assisting trades, and ensuring daily housebuilding operations run safely and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting various sub-contractors and site trades with moving and distributing materials across active plots.
- Sweeping out timber frame / brickwork plots, clearing construction waste, and loading skips.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site environment in line with health and safety procedures.
- Assisting site management with unloading and managing incoming deliveries.
- Carrying out general manual labour and physical duties as directed across the development.
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
- Previous experience working as a labourer on a construction site (New build housing experience preferred).
- Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
- Strong work ethic, excellent punctuality, and a proactive attitude.
- Solid awareness of site health and safety around live plots and site plant.
- Based in or easily commutable to Mayfield / Dalkeith / South Edinburgh.
