Job Title: General Construction Labourer
Location: Rochester, Kent (ME1 / ME2)
Start Date: Tuesday, 22nd September 2026
Contract Duration: Ongoing / Long-Term
Pay Rate: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (dependent on pay type)
About the Role
We are recruiting a reliable, hard-working General Labourer for an upcoming position on a major construction project in Rochester.
Starting on Tuesday, 22nd September 2026, this role offers consistent full-time hours, steady weekly pay, and long-term stability with an established main contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting site trades (bricklayers, carpenters, groundworkers) with daily operations.
- Unloading delivery vehicles and moving building materials safely across site.
- Keeping access routes, walkways, and work zones clean, safe, and clear of hazards.
- Sorting construction waste, clearing site debris, and managing recycling skips.
- Following site health & safety rules and wearing full PPE at all times.
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (Green Labourer card or above essential).
- Full PPE (Steel toe-cap boots, high-vis vest/jacket, hard hat, and gloves).
- Previous general site labouring experience.
- Hard-working, punctual, and dependable work ethic.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Right to work in the UK.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40-45 hours per week).
- Start Date: Tuesday, 22nd September 2026.
- Duration: Ongoing long-term work.
- Weekly pay via CIS, Umbrella, or PAYE options.
