About the Role
Are you an inspirational leader with a passion for early years education? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nursery Manager to lead our early learning and childcare setting.
In this role, you will be the driving force behind our nursery's success. You will take full responsibility for ensuring high-quality care and education, leading and developing a dedicated staff team, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Your mission will be to foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Manage the day-to-day operations, administration, budgets, resources, and occupancy of the nursery.
Quality & Education: Drive high standards of care, learning, and child development, leading continuous quality improvement and self-evaluation.
Team Development: Manage, support, supervise, and develop the staff team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to Care Inspectorate requirements, SSSC Codes of Practice, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety/risk assessment practices.
Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications: A relevant Early Learning and Childcare qualification at SCQF Level 9 or above (or an equivalent recognised qualification).
Registration: Eligible for registration with the SSSC.
Experience: A significant number of years' experience working within an early years setting, with proven management responsibilities.

You will excel if you can demonstrate:
Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
Effective organisational, problem-solving, and operational budgeting abilities.
Proven experience in staff supervision, quality assurance, and performance management.
