This part-time opportunity runs until at least December, with a strong likelihood of extending further into the academic year. Whether you are an experienced Male P.E. Teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher looking for flexible, high-impact teaching, this position offers an exciting opportunity to lead practical PE curriculum delivery.
Due to specific gender ratio requirements within practical sports changing supervision and curriculum delivery, the school is seeking a Male P.E. Teacher to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver High-Energy Lessons: As an active Male P.E. Teacher, you will plan and teach inclusive physical education sessions across KS3 and KS4, covering a wide range of individual sports, team games, and athletics.
- Full Curriculum Duties: Manage class preparation, ongoing pupil assessment, and changing room supervision in line with school policies and safeguarding guidelines.
- Promote Inclusivity & Active Participation: Create an encouraging environment where pupils of all abilities build athletic confidence, spatial awareness, and strong teamwork skills.
- Extracurricular & Fixtures: Support after-school sports clubs, lunchtime activities, and fixtures against local schools to enhance the sporting life of the school.
- Maintain Safety & Equipment: Ensure all sports facilities, gymnasiums, and equipment are used safely while maintaining high standards of pupil engagement and behaviour.
Candidate Profile
We are searching for an inspiring, organised Male P.E. Teacher with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for physical activity.
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Proven track record of working as a Male P.E. Teacher within a UK secondary school setting.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to motivate pupils of all athletic abilities.
- Strong classroom and pitch management skills grounded in positive reinforcement and clear boundaries.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or readiness to process one through Randstad).
