Key Responsibilities
- Exemplary Curriculum Architecture: Synthesise and execute intellectually stimulating lesson sequences aligned with the National Curriculum, deploying evidence-based strategies to stretch high-ability pupils while scaffolding support for all learners.
- Synergistic Team Management: Provide clear, strategic direction to classroom Teaching Assistants, optimising their deployment to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- Cultivation of an Optimal Learning Ethos: Establish a structured, positive, and distraction-free classroom culture rooted in mutual respect, clear operational routines, and emotional security.
- Proactive Stakeholder Alliances: Maintain professional, transparent, and regular communications with parents, guardians, and the Senior Leadership Team regarding academic benchmarks and pastoral development.
- Institutional Collaboration: Contribute meaningfully to phase planning groups, whole-school standardisation panels, action-research initiatives, and community engagement events.
Candidate Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A verified track record of successful classroom leadership within the UK primary sector. Applications from both proven specialists and highly motivated Early Career Teachers (ECTs) will be thoroughly reviewed.
- Pedagogical Mastery: A deep, contemporary understanding of cognitive science principles in primary education, advanced literacy frameworks, and mathematical mastery models.
- Polished Classroom Directorship: The ability to command attention with empathy, instill high behavioural expectations, and foster an atmosphere of purposeful inquiry from day one.
- Long-Term Professional Commitment: The capacity to commit to a full-time, Monday-to-Friday schedule starting in September 2026 for the duration of the entire academic year.
- Vetting Compliance: A current Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or a readiness to process a new check directly through our compliance team).
