We are recruiting an exceptional Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for a long-term contract beginning September 2026 at a dynamic primary school in Stevenage. Covering Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classrooms, this vibrant school provides a highly inclusive environment focused on unlocking each student's capabilities. We are seeking a forward-thinking educator to design adaptive learning strategies, lead classroom teams effectively, and encourage pupils to hit their personal best.
Your Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Formulate and teach tailored, high-impact lessons aligned with National Curriculum guidelines to suit diverse learning capabilities.
- Interactive Learning: Implement dynamic phonics schemes, practical maths strategies, and interactive teaching tools to advance student performance.
- Classroom Team Leadership: Manage and direct room Teaching Assistants to maintain a safe, highly organised, and positive learning space.
- Progress Tracking: Utilise structured assessment systems to record pupil milestones, evaluate progress, and celebrate achievements.
- Multidisciplinary Liaison: Work closely alongside the SENCO, key stage coordinators, and school leadership to support SEND and EAL pupils effectively.
- Parental Partnerships: Maintain constructive, ongoing communication with parents and carers to build a strong home-school connection.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. Experience teaching within UK primary settings (both Early Career Teachers and seasoned professionals are encouraged to apply).
- Pedagogical Knowledge: Thorough grasp of primary learning expectations, adaptive teaching methods, and positive behaviour reinforcement.
- Emotional Resilience: A calm, patient, and grounded approach to maintaining an attentive, supportive environment.
- Collaborative Mindset: A strong commitment to working alongside school staff to prioritise pupil welfare and achievement.
- Compliance Checks: Holds an Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to complete a new application via Randstad).
