We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for a long-term position commencing in September 2026 at a vibrant partner Primary School in Stevenage. Covering Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, this progressive primary school offers a well-resourced environment dedicated to helping every child succeed. We need a forward-thinking teacher who can adapt lessons to diverse learning styles, guide classroom support staff, and foster a warm learning environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Adapted Lesson Design: Plan and deliver engaging, high-impact lessons aligned with National Curriculum standards to meet varied pupil needs.
- Core Subject Mastery: Use interactive techniques, practical maths methods, and modern phonics schemes to drive student progress.
- Classroom Team Guidance: Direct and mentor room Teaching Assistants to maintain a safe, highly organised, and supportive learning environment.
- Progress Assessment: Implement formative assessment tools to track individual academic milestones, assess growth, and celebrate success.
- Staff Collaboration: Work alongside the SENCO, Key Stage coordinators, and senior leaders to provide targeted support for SEND and EAL pupils.
- Parental Engagement: Maintain clear, encouraging communication with parents and carers to ensure a strong home-school partnership.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. Experience teaching within UK primary settings (both Early Career Teachers and experienced staff are welcome).
- Pedagogical Understanding: Solid grasp of primary curriculum milestones, adaptive teaching techniques, and positive behaviour reinforcement.
- Resilient Demeanour: A calm, compassion, and grounded approach to maintaining a focused, productive classroom atmosphere.
- Team-Oriented Approach: A genuine commitment to working alongside colleagues to promote holistic child well-being.
- Vetting Checks: An Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to complete a new application via Randstad).
