The Role
Are you an experienced Site Engineer with a valid PTS card looking for a long-term contract in West London?
We are seeking a high-caliber PTS Site Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure project delivered by a Tier 1 Principal Contractor. In this role, you will lead on-site civil engineering activities, manage quality compliance, and drive rigorous standards across network assets.
Note: This position has been determined as Inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision & Principal Contractor Liaison: Oversee day-to-day civil engineering activities on site, ensuring full compliance with design specifications, Network Rail standards, and Principal Contractor safety frameworks.
- Quality & Assurance Compliance: Lead the preparation, implementation, and sign-off of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Asset Management Plans (AMPs).
- Commercial & Material Take-Offs: Perform accurate material take-offs, manage procurement requisitions, and track material utilization to minimize waste.
- Technical Documentation: Produce, review, and maintain technical submittals, task briefs, work package plans (WPPs), and quality assurance records.
- Site Safety Leadership: Ensure strict adherence to rail safety regulations during possession windows, participating in pre-work briefings and site inductions under PTS conditions.
Key Requirements
- PTS Certification: Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification (AC/DC).
- Principal Contractor Experience: Demonstrable track record working with a Principal Contractor on UK rail infrastructure projects.
- Civil Engineering Background: Strong expertise in rail civils, setting out, reading technical drawings, and site delivery.
- Compliance & Technical Competence: Hands-on experience developing and managing ITPs, AMPs, and material take-offs within highly regulated environments.
- Location: Based in or around West London (or easily commutable to West London site locations).
- Flexibility: Fully available and willing to work weekends, night shifts, and possession windows as required by project schedules.
