An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a dedicated fostering professional to step into a leadership role as a Registered Manager. Operating in Norfolk with work-from-home flexibility, this full-time role offers a highly competitive environment for someone looking to make a true impact. The position is with an ethical, not-for-profit, Ofsted "Good" IFA dedicated to providing high-quality, trauma-informed, and therapeutically underpinned foster care arrangements.
Summary of Job
- Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week (includes a 1-hour paid lunch break), with inclusion in the out-of-hours duty rota.
- Compensation: Up to £57,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience, with clear progression routes.
- Core Purpose: The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership, representing the agency's vision while managing compliance, resources, and support functions.
- Regulatory Accountabilities: The manager will ensure the service meets all regulatory requirements, leading preparation for Ofsted inspections and managing subsequent action planning.
- Qualifications Required: Candidates must hold a valid Social Work qualification, current Social Work England (SWE) registration, and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or a willingness to complete it with full financial support).
- Key Prerequisites: A minimum of two years experience as a manager in the fostering, adoption, or family and friends sector, a valid UK driving licence, and ownership of a car for business use.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Delivering operational objectives within strict timescales and driving the ongoing strategic development of the fostering service.
- Overseeing the robust recruitment, assessment, and retention of a diverse range of high-quality foster carers capable of therapeutic parenting.
- Acting as the Panel Advisor, managing the allocation of Form F assessments, and ensuring the fostering panel functions effectively within statutory guidelines.
- Conducting regular audits, monitoring compliance with National Minimum Standards and Fostering Regulations, and maintaining records of allegations or investigations via electronic systems like Intuitive Care.
- Implementing child protection policies, monitoring critical incidents, and ensuring Ofsted is notified of relevant events within required timeframes.
- Directing HR processes, executing effective staff supervision and annual appraisal systems, and fostering a supportive, outcomes-driven team culture.
- Building strong professional relationships with Local Authorities, overseeing contract monitoring requests, and leading the execution of local authority tendering contracts to support business growth.
