Your Role and Responsibilities
- Safeguard and champion the rights, health, and well being of children and young people within a secure residential setting.
- Collaborate on dynamic risk assessments and co-design tailored care plans that foster emotional resilience and personal growth.
- Deliver high-quality group living supervision, managing daily routines, physical health needs, and medication protocols with clinical precision.
- Facilitate structured individual and group programs addressing complex behavioural challenges and preparing young people for independent living.
- Produce robust, clear documentation and comprehensive reports while maintaining absolute adherence to confidentiality standards.
- Participate in a balanced, year-round rotational shift system, including occasional sleep-in duties, to guarantee seamless 24/7 care.
What we need from you
- Qualifications: Possession of, or active progression toward, an HNC in Social Care and/or an SVQ Level 3 in Care (Caring for Children and Young People). Candidates holding a Social Work Degree are highly advantageous.
- Experience: Demonstrated background within social care, with a distinct emphasis on residential or secure childcare environments.
- Registrations: Active registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and current membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme (or eligibility to complete registration immediately).
- Key Attributes: Outstanding communication skills, emotional resilience in handling high-pressure scenarios, and a steadfast commitment to collaborative team working.
