Can you be the steady hand that helps a young person navigate their way to a brighter future?
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Residential Childcare professional to join a specialist service dedicated to supporting young people with complex social and emotional needs. If you are an experienced practitioner ready to elevate your career into a senior capacity, this is your opportunity to lead from the front.
The Best Bit: Leadership with Purpose
In this role, you aren't just managing shifts; you are mentoring a team and anchoring the lives of vulnerable young people. You will be part of a culture that prioritises therapeutic breakthroughs over basic supervision. Combined with a robust financial package and a clear pathway for professional evolution, this role offers the perfect balance of emotional reward and career progression.
What's in it for you?
Exceptional Earning Potential: A base salary of up to £29,464.50, significantly boosted by sleep-in allowances of £67.50 per shift.
Realistic Total Earnings: With a standard rotation of approximately 10 sleep-ins per month, your annual income will exceed £37,000.
Immediate Incentives: A £500 welcome bonus and an industry-leading £1,000 referral scheme.
Unrivalled Support: Access to hardship grants and 24/7 private support via a dedicated foundation.
Career Acceleration: Fully funded PVG checks, a comprehensive paid induction, and access to specialist leadership qualifications.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Pillar of Support: Oversee the delivery of high-standard, 24-hour care within a nurturing, homely environment.
Strategic Mentorship: Guide young people through their daily journey, from educational aspirations to community integration and life-skill development.
The Power of Presence: Build deep, professional connections through consistent, empathetic interaction, creating a foundation of trust.
Operational Oversight: Lead the team in maintaining meticulous digital care records, ensuring total compliance with national standards.
Service Enrichment: Drive the planning of creative activities and outings that offer young people the chance to experience joy and build positive memories.
What we need from you
Sector Expertise: A proven background in residential childcare or leadership experience within youth work, SEN, or social care.
Resilient Character: A warm, patient, and emotionally intelligent professional who remains focused on long-term outcomes.
Tech-Savvy Approach: Confidence in using modern digital systems for daily reporting and service management.
Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
Commitment: Flexibility to work a rotational schedule that includes sleep-ins to ensure 24/7 service excellence.
