Term-Time Only (39 weeks per year)
Monday-to-Friday-only

This role brings the chance to help children and young adults with special educational needs and disabilities grow in confidence, develop independence and achieve things they never thought possible.
You don't need previous experience in care.
If you're kind, patient and ready to learn, we'll give you all the training and support you need to build a rewarding career as a Residential Support Worker.
Unlike many care roles, this is a term-time only position with the option for Monday to Friday-only working, giving you more time to enjoy school holidays and weekends while building a meaningful career.
You'll benefit from:
- Full training from day one
- Genuine career progression opportunities
- Funded professional development and qualifications
- Free on-site parking
- Subsidised meals in our on-site restaurant
- Employee discounts through our rewards platform
- Occupational pension scheme
- Potential access to affordable on-site accommodation
- A friendly, experienced team who will support you every step of the way
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting young people with daily living skills and encouraging independence.
- Providing personal care where required, always with dignity, respect and compassion.
- Building positive relationships that help young people feel safe and confident.
- Encouraging participation in education, hobbies, recreation and community activities.
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals and families.
- Recording important information and contributing to care plans.
- Celebrating progress and recognising every achievement, no matter how small.
Who we're looking for:
We're much more interested in who you are than where you've worked. You'll fit in well if you are:
- Caring and compassionate
- Calm and patient
- Reliable and dependable
- A positive team player
- A confident communicator
- Resilient when faced with challenges
- Passionate about helping others achieve their potential
Many of our colleagues previously worked in retail, hospitality, education, childcare, customer service and healthcare before discovering a career in residential care.
Some young people require support with personal care, mobility, communication or behaviours that may challenge. There will be busy days, emotional moments and situations that require patience, resilience and teamwork.
We think it's important to be open about that because our job is to find the people who 'want' this job, not those that 'need' a job.
You will be working for the UK's leading charity dedicated to creating better lives for children and young people with epilepsy and associated conditions.
Based on a beautiful campus in Surrey, we provide specialist education and residential care for children and young adults aged 4-25 with a range of additional needs, including epilepsy, autism and severe learning disabilities.
Ready to start something meaningful?
Whether you're an experienced Residential Support Worker, Care Worker or Support Worker, or you're looking for a completely new career, we'd love to hear from you.
