    Health & Safety Manager - ConstructionWarrington£250 - 300 p/dContract: 2 - 3 MonthsA Global Leader in the Fit Out of High Tech Industrial Distribution Centres is searching for a Health & Safety Manager to look after the Health & Safety function on a Distribution Centre in Warrington.Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:Advise and guide on all health, safety, environmental and quality matters, keeping the business up to date with health and safety arrangements, policy, best practice and issues as they ariseConduct regular site inspections and audits to assess the safety standards are maintained and a consistent approach is adopted across the CompanyEnsure that statutory requirements are being upheld throughout the organisation e.g. COSHH, RIDDOR, Display Screen Equipment, Risk Assessments etc.Act as the major link in the event of accidents or incidents, conducting all on-the-spot investigations and advising on recommendations arising from themMaintain up to date, accurate and appropriate health, safety and environmental records and documentationMaintain accident statistics, analyse trends and propose and take remedial action where necessaryBe the catalyst for activity and commitment to environmental managementProvide an effective communication system on health, safety and environmental matters in the form of Company Bulletins, Safety Alerts, Emails and memosProvide health, safety and environmental documentation at pre-tender stageMaintain an up to date professional knowledge of legislative changes, reviewing all relevant policies, procedures and standard documentation.Communicating these to the wider business.Advise on and facilitate health, safety and environmental training in line with business strategyApply for and maintain appropriate health, safety and environmental awards to enhance the Company's commercial prospectsMaintain close liaison with the HSE and other external bodiesNetwork within the industry to maintain knowledge and apply best practiceKey Skills and Knowledge:Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality legislation and best practiceEffective communication skills, both written and verbalGood IT skillsAbility to prioritise own workload and work independentlyStrong technical knowledge of construction and other building processes, equipment and plantCommercially focussedNumeracy skillsGood attention to detailNetworking skillsMethodical and organisedNEBOSH Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
