Job Title: Dance School AdministratorLocation: LondonSalary: £19,000 per yearJob type: 5 days per week - Tuesday to Saturday hours per week.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dance School Administratorto join the Dance School at the Royal Academy of Dance.The Royal Academy of Dance is one of the world's most influential dance education and training organisations. The Dance School administer, co-ordinate and oversee a range of quality activities which upholds the aims of the Academy. We offer participants the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge while contributing to the income streams of the Academy.The Role:Provide administrative support to the RAD Dance School team across all activities.Act as a point of contact for students / parents / guardians offering excellent customer service.Contribute ideas for high quality, innovative and successful Dance School classes and events.Promote RAD Dance School to ensure maximum numbers and income.Respond to general enquiries in person, via email, correspondence or telephone from internal colleagues and the public regarding RAD Dance School, acting as one of the primary call handlers for RAD Dance School telephone queries, forwarding messages on to other staff as required.In conjunction with the Dance School Officer, carry out daily/weekly administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the office and RAD Dance School; including printing registersand keeping communication notices / handouts / noticeboards / website updated at all times and liaising with the Music Department over any pianist/teacher/studio changes.Regularly check and act upon emails received to the Dance School email address and forward messages to appropriate member of staff and respond to queries regarding RAD Dance School.Assist in processing applications for the RAD Dance School, including the programme for adults and SEND students.Provide a visible point of contact in reception area, when necessary, to deal with enquiries from RAD Dance School parents, students and teachers, and cover for Dance School Information Assistants as required.In liaison with the Dance School Officer provide assistance in administering the RAD Dance School waiting/enquiry lists, co-ordinating taster class invitations and processing applications and enrolments of new and existing students.Support the Dance School Team to arrange parent / guardian Watching Days.Under the guidance of the Dance School Officer and Head of Dance School, work with faculty and parents / guardian to allocate students to classes appropriate to their level.Maintain and provide students with all necessary information to attend Dance School, including use of the building, rules and regulations, dress code and uniform.Assist the Head of Dance School with the co-ordination of RAD Dance School examinations in consultation with the Examinations Department, including the completion of the examination entry forms and distribution of results and supporting documentation.Assist the Head of Dance School with RAD Dance School mail-outs and communications, including termly newsletters and e-shots.Keep up-to-date and accurate records of student numbers, withdrawals etc. for departmental records, as necessary.Benefits:We offer 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time staff), contributory pension scheme, access to the Perkbox discounts platform - including an Employee Assistance Programme, WeCare scheme, Bupa cash plan, life assurance, season ticket loan and cycle to work scheme.
