        Lead Critical Services Engineer - HV - up to £65k (depending on experience)An experienced High Voltage trained Engineer is required to lead a small day team of HV engineers in our clients Data Centre, ensuring satisfactory delivery of services against contractual terms and conditions, meeting and exceeding client expectations and ensuring the contractual commitments are achieved.This is a hands-on role, ensuring all critical engineering maintenance work is organised and called out in accordance with client and company policies and procedures and within health and safety legislative requirements and ensuring 100% uptime of engineering services to ensure there is zero impact to the client's business operations.Purpose of JobTo provide guidance with all aspects of administrative and engineering of our clients occupied buildings and their responsibilities will be to carry out HV/LV maintenance which comprises of the 5-year testing of the electrical infrastucture.This will include 30 HV packaged substations over 12 floors, over 500 HV switches, 50 transformers, and in excess of 140 customer LV switch panels containing ACB's and LV switches.This will be a rolling programme and will include all planning, production of required documentation, liaising with customers and suppliers to produce a detailed maintenance plan.This is a key appointment and will require the individual to be strong-handed related to engineering and demonstrate execution of the administrative systems.They must have the ability to communicate to the users on all aspects of problems/complaints associated with the electrical and mechanical infrastructure and be able to work as part of a etam.Where required to produce robust processes and procedures to ensure compliant operation.Key Responsibilities1 Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records are kept pertaining to Health & Safety, Electrical installation works, general building Compliance and QA.2 Ensure that subcontractors perform to meet the site requirements as required.3 Supervise sub-contractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or services are carried out on site.4 Conform to the Permit to Work System in accordance with company Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements (or approved client systems).5 Ensure that suitable equipment and parts are available to carry out additions or modifications to critical plant and systems.6 Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed, and utilised for all tasks to be carried out to ensure safe working practices. This will include the Client's processes for works carried out on site.7 To maintain & develop good client and site team relationships.8 Ensure the provision of a Safe & Healthy working environment.9 Ensure a professional is presented to clients and visitors.10 Undertake other tasks as defined and requested by local or client management.11 Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate.12 Ensure awareness and compliance with the contractual KPI's/SLA's is undertaken.13 Confer with the management team to discuss project specifications and procedures.14 Make detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration of technical activities.15 Perform and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the site team.16 Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports.17 Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to the client team.18 Responsible for Post Problem Reviews as and when an electrical or mechanical incident has occurred on site. A detailed report to be issued to the client in the correct timeframes and close any open actions following findings within the report19 Carry out ad-hoc audits, dry runs with the team in preparation for any critical works been undertaken.
