You'll spend time at Cosma in Telford with day release to Dudley college, all travel expenses will be paid. Cosma Casting UK, an operation unit of Magna International, specialise in high pressure automotive die casting. You will be working on body, chassis and engineering solutions that are exported to car manufacturers across the globe. This role may involve you needing to be flexible within your working hours and therefore shift patterns will occur of which a shift premium will be paid. Responsibilities:We are seeking to employ and train Two Apprentices in the process of High-Pressure Vacuum Die Casting.You will be trained to work in the world of large tonnage Die Casting manufacturing; the initial training will be broad based casting and production based leading to a first appointment. The apprenticeship will last 27 to 33 months and consist of time at both Cosma Casting UK and Day Release to Dudley College.Your role will be varied and will include areas such as: Attend Die Casting L3 Apprenticeship at Dudley College Complete and pass all 21 mandatory unitsComplete and pass 1 optional unitComplete Level 1-3 Die Casting Machine Operator training on site at CCUKEnsure all mandatory CCUK training units are completed on time (HSE)Guarantee a safe working environmentEnsure all production processes conform to current quality standardsManufacture parts in time to satisfy customer demandStrive to improve production processesBe part of team to root cause analysis of non-conforming production and implement corrective actionsQuality check of parts producedRecord hourly performance and key characteristics of parts produced Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all Health and Safety environmental requirementsRequirements: 5 GCSEs Basic working knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word etc.)Mobility to attend both place of work (Telford) and Dudley CollegePassion to learn about manufacturing and technologyGood problem solving skillsTeam playerConfidence to challenge the status quoWork collaboratively to achieve project/company goalsAbility to work in a fast paced environment Good communicator both written and verbal Ability to work under pressureOrganised, able to multitask and self-motivateWhy not click to apply today!
