      An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for a Risk Project Manager to join our client, a leading financial institution. With a good understanding of risk management processes and methodologies, the Project Manager will lead the delivery of workstreams as part of a broader transformation project. The purpose of the role is to coordinate input from a broad range of subject matter experts and provide challenges to produce a series of deliverables to an agreed timeline. The role will also develop capability, capacity and operating model solutions to implement and embed the deliverables produced. Main dutiesLeader of multiple workstreams of a risk transformation project aimed at upskilling and upscaling risk management capability across the three lines of defence. Coordination of input and consolidation of outputs from a range of subject-matter experts to develop the Risk Management Framework across all principle risk categories. Facilitating workshops with stakeholders to identify gaps in skills and capacity in risk management across all principal risks and across all business units. Working closely with Human Resources to develop a strategy to close the identified gaps in skills and capacity in risk management capability. Providing input into the review and development of the operating model for the management of risk and the development of appropriate solutions. Provide support to the Senior Project Manager to deliver the Risk Transformation Project workstream activity on behalf of the Senior Responsible Officer. Analyse the range risk management related factors (reviews/audits etc) that have impacted Risk & Compliance and ensure they are fully understood and, where appropriate, included in workstream scope. Facilitates the co-ordination of input and consolidation of outputs from a range of subject-matter experts to produce a series of deliverables to an agreed timeline. Provides inputs required to ensure that the workstreams are in line with the Project Delivery Lifecycle and the Risk Transformation project is within the Change Governance frameworkDelivering a series of products in line with a detailed project plan. Reporting workstream progress and performance. Providing status reports to the Senior Project Management. Knowledge and experienceUnderstanding of the three lines of defence risk model and Enterprise Risk Management Framework, methodologies and processes. Knowledge or experience of end to end project lifecycle. Developed and maintained a well-structured plan of the work and the resources to enable the appropriate approvals, baselining, reporting and controls. Experience of cost planning and estimating, reporting, forecasting and controlling, including taking corrective cost actions. Previous experience of the implementation of a formal risk management process, including the continual use of risk management tools and documents. Manage the change control process to deliver the optimum time, cost and quality. Experience of implementing and maintaining governance structures, including defining roles and responsibilities. Contributed to all aspects of the monitoring and control processes and implemented corrective actions. Confident managing stakeholder engagement across multiple organisational boundaries and influence key stakeholders to support project and or business change activity.
