    An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experience Investment Guidelines Manager to join our client, a leading global Asset Manager based in LondonAbout the role:The Investment Guidelines Management team has responsibility for the drafting of all investment guideline documents for clients with segregated portfolios and ESAs.These investment guidelines describe in accurate detail the investment management activity that will best achieve client objectives. The investment guidelines are written in advance and agreed with both internal relevant stakeholders and clients. Key responsibilities of the Investment Guidelines Manager will include:Successful investment guideline drafting is founded on the team being subject matter experts with investment knowledge and competence across investment areas. These investment areas include LDI, index tracking, currency hedging, global credit buy and maintain, active fixed income, synthetic equity and holistic investment solutions. The Investment Guideline Management team exhibits strong familiarity with our templates that encourage the use of standard activity but have the ability to propose solutions to non-standard requirements. Acting as business guardians, the team are responsible for ensuring the risks associated with the investment activity are identified, considered and managed in order to reduce risk to Clients.Raising ideas to improve the control environment and a desire to drive agreed developments through is very much advocated. -The Investment Guideline Management team needs to engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the business to support our delivery of excellent investment solutions and provide high levels of client service. The team has thus developed an effective network, a clear understanding of the function of business areas and built strong internal relationships with all our stakeholders to help coordinate activity. The ideal Investment Guidelines Manager will possess the following attributes/skills:A strong academic background including either a degree or an equivalent technical or professional qualification. The successful candidate should be familiar with institutional investment solutions, the markets and financial instruments used. Experience with insurance companies and pension fund clients will be beneficial. Strong overall investment and product structure knowledge, documentation management best practice and preferably experience in the drafting of investment guidelines. A desire and participation in adding to their knowledge base should be evident. A demonstrable track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and experience in delivering exceptional service to institutional clients. The ability to communicate, influence and operate at a senior level,including presenting complex ideas simply to facilitate effective decision-making. Highly team-orientated and developed interpersonal skills will be needed. Strong workflow management, organisation skills and the ability to enjoy managing multiple tasks with initiative, proactively, positivity and a solution mind-set. Written communication skills should be excellent with attention to both detail and accuracy.
