Role: ICT Field Support TechnicianLocation: Wymondham, Norfolk Salary: £14.89 p/hDuration: ASAP for 6 Months37 Hours a week (Monday-Friday 8am-4pm/9am-5pm) Principal purpose of the roleSupport and deliver ICT operational services across the constabularies whilst practicing customerfocus, flexibility and adaptability. Main activities of the role (This list is not exhaustive)Deliver, install, configure, maintain and decommission ICT hardware across Norfolk and Suffolk as requiredReplace/issue/collect personal issue ICT assetsConduct coverage checks across Norfolk and Suffolk as appropriateSupervise 3rd parties when on ICT managed Force propertiesUndertake preventative maintenance tasks for early fault detection and trend analysisCarry out moves and changes of ICT equipment across Norfolk and Suffolk as part of customers' requests and Estates project workCompetently carry out complex fault diagnostics of ICT hardware and software to identify root cause and resolutionMaintain and update asset records, job progress, Active Directory and other relevant databasesSupport ICT Projects as requiredRespond to customer requests within the agreed timescales and escalate calls in jeopardy of failing service level targetsFollow all agreed processes and proceduresAny other duties which are commensurate with the role and grade as maybe reasonably requested by management Essential CriteriaBTECH/HNC qualification in Information Technology/Computer Science or significant experience inan IT operational environment.Proven experience in working within a Microsoft Windows software environmentDemonstrate highly effective communication skills in a customer focused environmentProven experience and ability to work as an effective team member with limited supervision due to the mobile nature of the roleProven experience and knowledge of maintaining ICT Asset RegistersAbility to travel to multiple locations within Norfolk and Suffolk as required with a full driving licence to drive Force vehicles including category B, weighing up to 3,500kg.Ability to work outside or normal office hours on a regular basis as part of an ICT on call rota.
