    Senior Technical Programmer Do you have Experience of program coding in the technical programming environment? Can you be receptive to change and innovation? The role involves managing complex projects involving the design, development, implementation and support of analytical software applications and reports to fulfil the technical analysis. Responsibilities include: Develop, qualify and implement integrated system solutions to support the attainment of Strip Manufacturing Units (SMU) goals and targets.Identify critical issues and recommend changes / solutions as necessary to meet SMU goals and targets.Acquire a comprehensive understanding of data sources and data usage throughout the SMU, establishing systems for the ease of data access and analysis.Perform the numerical and/or statistical analysis necessary to aid the disposition of investigations, CAPAs and compliance activities within Operations.Support a work environment that ensures team effectiveness.Demonstrate full cross functional/ matrixed team support for the SMU including: Liaising with other departments and presenting technical information.Contribute to meetings through participation.Ensure effective communication within the area.Train personnel in relevant techniques and systems.Responsible for maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System at the site in accordance with divisional and corporate requirements and applicable regulations.Compliance with EHS regulations, programmes and procedures, being accountable for the Health & Safety of themselves and others and by highlighting where improvements to EHS performance can be made. Requirements: Degree in a numerical subject or with high numerical content i.e. mathematical, scientific or engineering based.Experience of program coding in the technical programming environment is essential. Must have a high level of numerical and analytical skill and be able to use this in conjunction with computer software. Ability to apply numerical analysis and statistical techniques is required due to the volume of data produced within the complexity of the analysis and tests that surround it. Experience of developing software using a System Life Cycle required to understand Industry Best Practices of methodology. Excellent written, negotiation and oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively across a matrixed organizational structure and be a team player is a key requirement. Be receptive to change and be able to drive change, consistent with the drive towards the Centre of Excellence.
