The successful Warehouse Software Support Manager candidate will undertake a range of duties and activities to a range of both internal and external customers, ensuring the availability of a 24 x 7 x 365 software support function and the achievement of contractual Service Level Agreements. Additionally you will manage the incident management escalation process on any issues and associated resources for varying level priority activities and directly manage the second line and legacy supports team in the event that additional technical expertise could be required and immediate solutions are not initially identified, whilst communicating effectively with both internal and external customers and ensuring they receive a professional service at all times. You will be responsible for managing the agreed departmental budget as well as the costing of systems support contracts in support of the account management team, so demonstrable commercial budgetary responsibility and man management skills and experience are critical for the position. Managing the delivery of resolutions to client issues and occasionally undertaking site visits to customer premises, you will drive the team and department forwards and develop strategies for expanding on the leading service provider activities, liaising at all levels with field, site, support and systems managers every step of the way and having the opportunity to recommend and contribute to a roadmap of a world class service provider. To be considered for this varied and challenging Warehouse Software Support Manager position, you will demonstrate knowledge and experience of working within the automated warehouse and distribution solutions sector, ideally with a working knowledge of warehouse management and control systems (Linux / C++ or Java experience advantageous along with exposure to an ITIL package) within a customer focused environment, and will appreciate the impact of service issues to customer operations. You will possess the ability to lead, motivate and manage teams to deliver SLA requirements consistently, and will demonstrate strong influencing skills as well as the ability to develop members of the team for succession planning and business expansion purposes.
