      This is a really exciting opportunity for a Evidential Case Builder to come and join a public sector team based out of Newport. This role is fully flexible in terms of working location and hours worked. You would be able to work form home or from one of the offices, which ever you would prefer and your hours of work can be anywhere between 6:00am - 11:00pm as long as 8 hours are worked each day. Job PurposeTo create casefiles to National File Quality standards, Attorney Generals and Director of Public Prosecutions Guidance and submit to the Crown Prosecution Service, ensuring that all required elements of the casefile are accurately documented and linked to the casefile prior to submission. Main DutiesTo prepare both pre and post charge evidential casefiles to the Crown Prosecution Service in compliance with national guidance and legislation.To submit completed pre and post charge evidential casefiles in line with agreed timescalesCarry out analysis, assess evidence, and review material generated by the investigation of both serious and complex crimes.to do what?To prioritize and carry out pre and post court actions as directed by CPS, ensuring that court and bail deadlines are met.To record, manage, process and retrieve information from computerised and manual systems so that the force has readily available accurate data for purposes of disclosure and correspondence related to achieving Justice outcomesRespond and deal with enquiries on the telephone, over video conferencing and face to face meetings with individuals from both internal and external sources.To provide support and advice to officers and Police Staff on policy, procedures and evidential standardsTo act as the Disclosure Officer for all case files submitted. Examining all material, present it to the CPS, and certifying to the prosecutor that action has been taken in accordance with the Codes of Practice Essential SkillsMust have experience of conducting investigation of criminal mattersMust have experience of dealing with sensitive material in an ethical mannerEvidence of experience in adherence to legislation, policies and procedures or industry regulations.Experience of providing support and advice to officers and police staff on policy, procedures, standards and rules and evidential standards of file preparation.Must have experience of working to challenging timescales and the ability to perform under pressure.Must have experience of working with Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.Must have knowledge of Data Protection legislation.If you feel you are right for the role apply today.
