    We are currently recruiting for an experienced administrator to come and join a great public sector team based in Llandrindod Wells. This role will mainly be home working but you must be able to go into the office if required. The role is for 3-6 months but could be extended further. Main Purpose of Post:To provide a discreet, high quality professional and reliable support to the Senior Manager and to be the public face of the Senior Manager.Principal Responsibilities:Provide information to the Senior Manager on sensitive internal and external matters.To draw the attention of the Senior Manager to issues both within the service and within the company that they may not know about but need to be aware of.Provide information to staff in the /Senior Managers absence.Provide effective liaison with internal departments, individuals and external organisations on behalf of the Senior Manager.Draft letters for the Senior Manager and preparation of detailed briefs from Officers advice.Be the first point of contact in dealing with enquiries that require the involvement of the Senior Manager and make decisions on their handling. Apply discretion over what can be dealt with individually and what requires the attention of the Senior Manager.Liaise with key departments e.g. Communications/HR in respect of the Senior Managers requirements.Organise incoming post for the /Senior Manager and ensure follow-up action is carried outOrganise and filter incoming emails for the Senior Manager and ensure follow-up action is carried out. Apply discretion and also identify and respond to enquiries that do not require the attention of the /Senior Manager.Organise and monitor the /Senior Manager diary engagements.Make detailed arrangements for high level meetings, seminars and subsequent catering and equipment arrangements for the /Senior Manager.Plan, organise and write Service Management Team agenda's and take minutes in compliance with company Standards, together with any other meetings required by the /Senior Manager.To monitor responses against deadlines and to keep a record of issues that may need further action at a later date and bringing them to the attention of the /Senior Manager when required.Be responsible for the ordering of goods, services, processing invoices, etc as required by the Senior Manager in accordance with the company's procurement policy.To undertake duties for other /Senior Managers as necessary in order to maintain flexibility and reciprocal arrangements to cover for staff absences. Essential SkillsPrevious administration experienceBecause of the nature of the work involved, the post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013) - This position has a requirement for an enhanced DBS Check.Applicants should be able to pronounce Welsh personal and place-names correctly and can give/ respond to basic greetings on the telephone or in person, or to be prepared to learn within a reasonable period.Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.
