Your skills as a prison officer are easily transferable into the role of a child support worker. You will find similar themes of boundaries, respect, rehabilitation are all present. Use your emotional intelligence and de-escalation skills to establish and maintain connections with young people. Support the development of vulnerable young people, whilst developing your own career!
