Do you have a keen interest in working with students to ensure they receive the support they need?We are looking for a passionate and efficient individual to work as a learning support administrator with a college in Nantwich.You will work with the learning support team at the college and will carry out tasks to support the team and the students at the college.The role can either be a part-time, or full-time role - depending on your other home or work responsibilities. BenefitsWorking with the college's varied and established learning support teamInteracting directly with students - helping them to achieve their goals Working on the days that work for youYour hourly salary, plus holiday payResponsibilitiesTo collate information for EHCP (Education and Health Care Plan) reviews and to prepare and completes EHCP review paperwork.Book, coordinate and administer meetings and appointments and manage the diary systemCompile report, track EHCP consultations and ensures records and computer systems are accurate and up to date.Receive visitors to the department and ensure a high quality service to all external contacts and students to maintain excellent customer relations.Provide responses to general student enquiries and, where required, pass these to the relevant staff for action to ensure excellent customer service is provided to all clients.Act as a point of telephone contact for parents and external stakeholders providing friendly, professional and knowledgeable advice which promotes the College and supports the EHCP process.Provide information on the learning support provision to internal and external customers as required and present information in a way which promotes and enhances the reputation of the provision and the College.Attend cross-college Programme Administrator meetings to keep up to date with cross-college information and raise the team profile.Follow safeguarding processes in accordance with the College Safeguarding Policy and show due regard for student health, safety and wellbeing.Maintain and organise recording keeping and filing systems both paper based and electronic in accordance with GDPR. RequirementsEducated to at least Level 3 standard with a minimum of GCSE Maths and English Grade C or equivalent.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook Express and PowerPoint.Experience in similar administrative roles.Specific experience of co-ordinating the Education, Health and Care Plan process would be a significant advantage.Understanding of specific learning difficulties and disabilities. Further desirable skills/requirements :Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, prioritise across several areas and follow issues through to a successful conclusion.Experience in a customer service environment.Ability to produce written reports to a high, professional standard.Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external agencies, parents and colleagues.Evidence of ability to promote and market the service.High level of interpersonal skills including listening and empathising.Evidence of strong planning and organisational skills.Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
