    Do you pride yourself on building great relationships and supporting individuals with their worries and struggles? Do you want to gain experience within a higher educational setting and be part of a team decreasing students anxieties and stresses? This could be the perfect opportunity for you. At Randstad we are looking for specialist mentors to help support students in the Scunthorpe area with the aim of delivering high quality support encouraging students to finish their studies. You will have a supportive and trustworthy relationship with your students helping them in areas such as managing anxiety and stress related issues as well helping students increase their problem solving and organisational skills. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a university setting and increase your skills in supporting students with acute mental health issues. Benefits:£25 per hour, plus an additional £3.01 per hour in holiday payFlexible working hours, as you chose when you workFlexible working - you will provide a mixture of face-to-face support on the university campuses and remote support where you can work from the comfort of your own homeOpportunities to also provide Counsellor or Mental Health Practitioner roles as these become available Responsibilities:Help manage anxiety and cope with stresses related to university life and other external pressures for studentsCreate an appropriate balance for the student for study related tasks and other life duties.Improve the students overall confidence and self esteem where possible Sometimes dealing with students with complex conditions including Autism Spectrum Conditions, ADHD and other emerging or currently mental health issues. Explore coping strategies to help with new experiences Requirements:Must have membership of (at least) one of the following organisations at the level (s) indicated:Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP) - Full member.The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) - Accredited membership.The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) - Registered Member (MBACP), or, Accredited Member (MBACP - Accred) British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) - Under a member institutionBritish Psychological Society (BPS) - Chartered Member (CPsychol)/IAPT register/ Graduate Member (MBPsS) AND a PG qualification in Psychology or Mental HealthCounselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA) - Accredited (Other UK Professional body) Counsellor/Psychotherapist Member of COSCA This category of membership requires you to be currently accredited with another recognised UK professional body for counselling and psychotherapyFederation of Drug and Alcohol Practitioners (FDAP) - also with a National Counsellor Accreditation Certificate (NCAC)General Medical Council (GMC) - Psychiatry - Full member or above.Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) - Arts Therapist/ Occupational Therapist/ Practitioner Psychologist/ Social Worker in England Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) - Accredited memberNational Counselling Society (NCS) - Accredited Registrants (MNCS Accred), or, Accredited Professional Registrant (MNCS Prof Accred), or, Senior Accredited Registrant status (MNCS Snr Accred), or NCS Fellowship (FNCS)Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) - Mental Health Nurse/ Community Mental Health Nurse / Psychiatric NurseScottish Social Services Council (SSSC)Social Care Wales (SCW)Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) - Full clinical individual memberThe University Mental Health Advisers Network (UMHAN) - UMHAN mentor member.
