Salary: £52,000 - £55,000 per annum

The Opportunity
Are you a strategic operational leader looking to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people with complex needs? We are seeking a high-calibre School Business Manager to oversee support operations across two of our specialist independent schools.
One site is established and consistently rated "Outstanding," while the other is a rapidly growing provision already recognised for excellence in student development. This is a pivotal senior leadership role where you will unify and elevate the non-academic functions of two vibrant educational communities.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will hold full accountability for the operational health of both sites. Supported by dedicated on-site administrative teams, your remit includes:
Financial Leadership: Managing multi-site budgets, driving value for money, and overseeing financial performance reporting (including EBITDA).
Strategic Operations: Leading the long-term planning for HR, ICT, and Administrative services to ensure they align with educational goals.
Estate & Facilities Management: Ensuring both campuses remain safe, high-quality environments through oversight of Health & Safety, maintenance, housekeeping, and catering.
Compliance & Governance: Maintaining rigorous standards in safeguarding, regulatory requirements, and inspection readiness.
Team Development: Inspiring and managing multi-disciplinary support staff across both locations to foster a culture of excellence.
About You
We are looking for a confident, autonomous leader who thrives in a regulated environment and possesses a "solutions-first" mindset.
Essential Experience:
Proven track record in business or operational management (Education or Healthcare sector preferred).
Robust financial acumen with experience in budget setting and performance analysis.
Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safeguarding protocols.
The ability to travel between two sites and manage diverse stakeholder relationships effectively.
Desirable Qualifications:
A professional qualification in Finance, HR, or Management (e.g., CSBM/DSBM or equivalent).
Direct experience managing HR processes within a specialist setting.
