Carrying out all commercial aspects for the painting and fabric branch based in the Glasgow office.ResponsibilitiesTo liaise with clients and their representatives to ensure their requirements are understood and all contract requirements met.Manage the commercial aspects of your contract(s) in an effective manner to ensure all critical deadlines are met, specifically submission of valuations, cash flow forecasts, internal CVRs, sub-contract ordering and processing sub-contract payments all in accordance with deadline schedules set by your line manager.Ensure all contract set-up and close down procedures are followed.Prepare and agree the valuation of claims etc. for both client and subcontractors.Improve contract profitability from tender margins and consistently year on year throughout the term of the contract.Monitor labour and material costs and assist in the managing of these costs to ensure profitability is maintained.Visit sites as required and prepare regular external valuations ensuring all variations and additional works are incorporated and reach agreement with the client's representative as to the value.Where required carry out pre-measures of contracts to enable accurate, competitive tender prices to be produced for submission having taken full account of market forces and forward workload.To attend contract meetings both within Mitie and with our clients to ensure the smooth running of the project.Ensure all contract requirements are fulfilled.About You:IT literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (Salesforce / CRM knowledge would be an advantage)Strong verbal and written communication skillsDriven and hungry individual continuously able to demonstrate they can meet our challenges and objectives whilst working to tight deadlinesSector experience desirable5 year experience as a Quantity Surveyor working in the Painting, Maintenance and Refurbishment would be advantageous.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.IT skills including Excel (intermediate), Word, Powerpoint and email.Basic Health & Safety knowledgePrevious experience within Commercial Painting desirableRandstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
