Skills Required
Exceptional skills in behaviour de-escalation, conflict resolution, and maintaining a calm, positive classroom environment.
The ability to differentiate the curriculum dynamically to meet diverse cognitive abilities and emotional barriers to learning.
A robust, non-judgemental nature with the capacity to remain professional and supportive during challenging situations.
A willingness to participate in physical activities and active learning sessions to keep students engaged and regulated.
Job Responsibilities
Planning and delivering an engaging, multi-sensory curriculum tailored to the unique cognitive, emotional, and physical needs of your pupils.
Implementing, tracking, and updating individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to monitor small-step progress.
Effectively deploying and managing classroom teaching assistants to ensure a safe and highly supportive learning environment.
Partnering closely with pastoral support networks, therapists, and families to provide holistic care and education.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is mandatory.
Proven experience teaching children with SEMH needs or complex behavioural challenges within the UK.
An enhanced DBS check on the update service, or a willingness to undergo a new check via Randstad.
Full eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available for this role).
