Are you a passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher seeking a more adaptable career path? Whether you are looking for the absolute flexibility of day-to-day supply or the professional consistency of a long-term contract, we have rewarding opportunities tailored to your specialist skill set.
We are currently partnering with a variety of dedicated SEN schools, alternative provisions, and specialist inclusion units throughout Ipswich and the wider Suffolk area. We are looking for resilient, empathetic, and highly skilled educators to support primary-aged pupils with diverse learning requirements.
Whether you are an experienced SEN specialist looking to step away from full-time classroom leadership burdens, or a mainstream primary teacher looking to transition your skills into a dedicated specialist setting, we can help you find your ideal balance.
Engagement Options:
Day-to-Day Cover: Maintain complete autonomy over your professional schedule. Choose exactly which days you work each week to perfectly balance your personal commitments. This route offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to different specialist settings with no take-home planning or marking.
Long-Term Opportunities: For educators seeking contractual continuity, we manage fixed-term assignments spanning a term or a full academic year (covering maternity leave, long-term absence, or interim vacancies). This allows you to integrate fully into a specialist team and design tailored pathways to see your pupils thrive.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent.
Proven experience teaching primary-aged pupils with complex needs, including ASC (Autism Spectrum Conditions), SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), ADHD, or Severe/Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD).
Highly developed behavioural management strategies, a calm demeanour, and an empathetic approach to pupil engagement.
Familiarity with alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton) or specific sensory interventions is highly advantageous.
A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new check).
Professional Benefits:
Competitive daily rates of pay, reflective of your specialist experience and processed weekly.
A streamlined, professional booking process that operates strictly in alignment with your declared availability.
Access to fully funded CPD training modules, including safeguarding updates and specialist SEN resources.
Dedicated support from an industry-specialist consultant with comprehensive knowledge of the Suffolk SEND education sector.
