Are you a Qualified Primary Teacher with a passion for special educational needs, looking to reclaim your work-life balance? Whether you thrive on the complete flexibility of day-to-day supply or prefer the pedagogical continuity of a long-term placement, we have fantastic opportunities tailored to your professional lifestyle.
We are currently partnering with a premier portfolio of specialised SEN schools, academy trusts, and alternative provisions throughout Ipswich and the wider Suffolk area. We are seeking adaptable, passionate educators who excel at tailoring primary learning frameworks for pupils with diverse, complex needs (including ASC, ADHD, speech and language barriers, and SEMH).
Whether you are an experienced specialist looking to step away from the administrative pressures of full-time leadership, or a mainstream teacher looking to transition your skills into a dedicated specialist environment, we can help you find your perfect balance.
Find Your Ideal Way of Working:
Day-to-Day Cover: Take complete control of your schedule. Choose exactly which days you want to work to perfectly fit around your personal commitments, studies, or lifestyle. It is an excellent way to experience different specialised settings.
Long-Term Opportunities: If you prefer stability, we have fixed-term roles spanning a term or a full academic year. This is the perfect way to truly embed yourself within a local specialist team, lead a specific class, and see your pupils make meaningful developmental and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Adapt and deliver creative, sensory-friendly lessons that cater to a wide range of cognitive and physical abilities.
Work closely alongside individual Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure every child's learning, communication, and emotional targets are met.
Lead and collaborate effectively with a dedicated team of SEN Teaching Assistants within your classroom to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
Utilize positive behaviour management and alternative communication strategies (e.g., visual schedules, PECS) to engage and motivate learners.
What We Look For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent qualification.
Proven experience teaching or supporting children with special educational needs within a primary framework.
A nurturing, highly patient, and resilient approach to classroom management.
An adaptable professional demeanour, ready to hit the ground running in new school environments.
A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
Benefits of Working With Us:
Competitive daily rates of pay, processed weekly and reflective of your experience level.
A completely transparent service that works strictly around your declared availability.
Access to fully funded CPD training modules, including statutory safeguarding updates and specialist SEN resources.
A dedicated local consultant with deep knowledge of the Ipswich and Suffolk SEND education sectors.
