If so, Randstad Education wants to hear from you. We are currently recruiting an inspirational SEN Teacher to lead an Informal Teaching and Learning Group (TLG). Based within a highly respected specialist inclusive learning setting in South Leeds, this full-time role is a long-term temporary position starting in September 2026.

About the Role
In this specialised role, you will take lead of an Informal Teaching and Learning Group (TLG). Rather than traditional subject-specific tracking, your classroom will focus on communication, independence, physical development, and sensory processing. You will facilitate learning through play, exploration, and highly responsive interactions. Managing a dedicated team of Learning Support Assistants, you will deliver custom interventions such as Attention Autism, sensory stories, and sensory circuits to bring learning to life.
Skills Required
Proven ability to plan and deliver sensory-rich, non-subject-specific learning tailored strictly to EHCP targets.
Expertise in using responsive, child-led communication techniques to connect with non-verbal or pre-verbal learners.
Experience utilising structured strategies like Attention Autism, sensory massage, and sensory processing routines.
Strong skills in directing, guiding, and collaborating with classroom support assistants to maintain a cohesive environment.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification (ECTs with strong SEN placement experience are welcome).
Previous experience teaching pupils with complex special educational needs (SEN) within the UK.
Full eligibility to work in the UK (please note, visa sponsorship is not available).
An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to undergo a new check via Randstad.
