Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with diverse needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, or SEMH.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) in close collaboration with the class teacher and SENDCo.
- Assist in adapting classroom resources and sensory tools to make learning fully accessible.
- Support emotional regulation, social communication, and confidence through positive reinforcement.
- Assist with pupil supervision during movement transitions, break times, and sensory breaks.
Requirements for the Role
- Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND) in school or care settings.
- A patient, warm, and highly adaptable approach to managing varied sensory and behavioral needs.
- Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics).
- A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Eligible to work in the UK without Sponsorship
