Key Roles & Responsibilities
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with diverse needs such as ASD, ADHD, or SEMH.
Implement structured individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the class teacher and SENDCo.
Assist in adapting classroom materials and activities to make the curriculum fully accessible.
Foster emotional regulation, resilience, and independence through positive reinforcement.
Supervise pupils during transition times, breaks, and sensory room sessions.
Requirements for the Role
Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND), within school or care settings.
A compassionate, patient, and highly adaptable approach to managing sensory and behavioural needs.
Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics).
A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
