Based at a fantastic specialist school site in the Boston Spa area, this full-time role is on a long-term basis, with the genuine potential to lead to a permanent contract.

Skills Required
Strong interpersonal skills and an intuitive approach to supporting children with hearing impairments or complex speech and language needs.
The ability to modify classroom instructions and learning resources dynamically to match individual cognitive and developmental levels.
A warm, encouraging nature capable of building trusting relationships with younger pupils to boost their confidence.
A calm, professional approach when helping students navigate frustrating communication or learning barriers.
Job Responsibilities
Providing 1:1 and small group support to school-aged pupils, helping them fully engage with the curriculum and classroom activities.
Assisting the class teacher in adapting learning resources and managing the classroom environment to ensure it is safe and highly supportive.
Helping students develop their social skills, emotional regulation, and communication independence during lessons and break times.
Monitoring and recording small-step progress, ensuring all pastoral and safeguarding protocols are strictly followed.
Essential Requirements
Full eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or a willingness to undergo a new check via Randstad.
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs within the UK (sensory impairments or communication difficulties are highly desirable).
