If so, Randstad Education is looking for you. We are currently recruiting a dedicated, empathetic, and adaptable SEN Tutor to work on behalf of a highly respected specialist school. This role involves delivering 1:1 education directly to students within their homes in the LS10 and LS14 postcode areas.
Hours: Flexible / Part-time and Full-time hours available
Location: Student homes within LS10 / LS14 (Leeds)

About the School
They are a highly regarded Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) committed to providing inclusive, high-quality education for pupils with wide-ranging Special Educational Needs (SEN). Recognising that mainstream environments, or even standard classrooms, do not suit every learner, they provide bespoke outreach and home-based tuition. They focus entirely on the individual progress, well-being, and engagement of each student, ensuring no child is left behind.
Skills Required
SEN Experience: Proven experience working 1:1 with children or young people with complex special educational needs, such as autism, SEMH, or profound learning difficulties.
Curriculum Adaptation: The ability to differentiate learning materials to match the cognitive, emotional, and physical needs of the student.
Resilience & Patience: A calm, encouraging approach to handle disengagement or challenging behaviours constructively.
Relational Skills: Exceptional ability to build rapport with both the student and their families or carers within a home setting.
Job Responsibilities
Delivering targeted 1:1 academic and developmental support to a student within their home environment.
Planning and executing engaging, bespoke learning sessions that focus on the student's specific learning and development goals.
Monitoring, tracking, and recording the student's small-step progress, providing regular feedback to the school's outreach team.
Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and school staff to maintain a safe, positive, and consistent learning routine.
Essential Requirements
Right to Work: Full eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
DBS: An enhanced DBS on the update service, or a willingness to undergo a new check via Randstad.
Qualifications/Experience: A teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or significant, proven experience delivering educational intervention or tuition within the UK.
