Location: Stockton-On-Tees
Salary: £31,675 - £35,425 (Up to £40,600 inclusive of ~10 sleep-ins/month)
Hours: 40.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 2 shifts per week (2 days on, 4 days off), including sleep-ins
Our client is a leading national provider of residential care, education, and therapeutic services for young people with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
The Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a dedicated team within a 2-bed children's home. You will lead by example to create a safe, nurturing environment, supporting young people with daily life skills while collaborating with internal therapy teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support young people with daily activities, life skills, outings, and appointments.
Professionally manage challenging behaviours alongside senior staff and therapeutic services.
Guide the team by sharing best practices and demonstrating high standards of care.
Partner with psychologists to implement behavioural boundaries and support strategies.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 12 months' experience specifically within a children's residential home (Adult care, nursery, or school experience is not accepted).
Licence: Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
Qualifications: A relevant childcare qualification is advantageous but not essential.
Flexibility: Able to work a shift pattern of 2 shifts a week, including weekends and mandatory sleep-ins.
