Role Overview: Nurture Teacher (SEND)

Responsibilities and Duties
As a Nurture Teacher, you will deliver a differentiated National Curriculum tailored to students aged 11-16 with complex needs.
Specialist Teaching: Deliver high-quality lessons focusing on social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing.
Individualised Learning: Create and monitor personalised learning targets and contribute to EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) reviews.
Collaborative Practice: Partner with the intervention team to provide a holistic educational experience.
Behaviour Support: Implement non-confrontational behaviour management strategies in line with school policy.
Candidate Requirements (QTS Essential)
We are seeking an ambitious teacher who meets the following criteria:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): This is an essential requirement for the role and the bonus.
SEND Experience: Proven experience teaching in special school settings or working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to adapt it for learners with complex needs.
SEMH Awareness: A deep understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges and their impact on learning.
Schedule and Hours
Total Hours: 40 hours per week.
Daily Schedule: 8:15am start.
Finish Times: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 4:45pm; Tuesday 5:00pm; Friday 4:00pm.
