Randstad Student Support is actively recruiting highly motivated Specialist Mentors to work with students who have disabilities or mental health conditions at Universities and Colleges. You will serve as a trusted advisor, supporting students throughout the academic year (starting at the new academic year/September), helping them reflect on their study experiences and implement strategies to overcome barriers.
Your Role in Student Success (1-to-1 Support):
You will empower students to build confidence and become independent learners by focusing on key development areas:
- Creating effective strategies for organisation and time management.Breaking down academic tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- Helping students achieve a healthy balance between their study commitments and daily living.
- Introducing management techniques for anxiety, stress, or low mood, and preparing them for new experiences.
- Building on personal strengths to promote self-sufficiency.
Essential Role Requirements:
- Ability to travel to local university or college sites to offer required in-person sessions.
- Commitment to acting professionally, maintaining confidentiality, and addressing all concerns promptly.

- Proven experience working with clients who have disabilities and/or mental health conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload of students.
- Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and professional conduct.
