We are seeking a highly motivated Store Manager with a strong retail sales background to launch, lead, and develop our dynamic team in our new Airside store.
This challenging and rewarding position involves managing and inspiring a dedicated team of sales professionals to meet and exceed both individual and company targets. The successful candidate will oversee all daily operations required for the smooth running, compliance, and commercial growth of the store. You will bring a proven track record in high-value sales, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a genuine passion for delivering a first-rate customer experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Drive Commercial Success: Demonstrate a highly determined focus on sales performance, consistently leading the team by example on the showroom floor.
Team Motivation & Communication: Maintain open, continuous communication lines to motivate, engage, and align staff with daily and monthly store objectives.
Customer Service Excellence: Ensure the delivery of an exceptional, premium customer experience at all times, resolving escalated queries efficiently.
Internal Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the Airside branch when collaborating with head office, logistics, and other internal departments.
Coaching & Development: Continually coach the sales team to ensure product knowledge, operational policies, and core brand values are consistently maintained and updated.
People Management: Oversee staff scheduling, performance reviews, and general people management activities in close liaison with HR and senior management.
Reporting: Compile and deliver regular operational and financial performance reports for the senior executive team.
Skills & Qualifications:
Leadership: Exceptional communication, mentorship, and coaching skills with a proven track record as a people manager and team player.
Organization: Excellent administrative and organizational capabilities, with an ability to manage multiple operational priorities seamlessly.
Tech Savvy: Proficient user of Microsoft Office suites, with the agility to quickly adapt to and master proprietary in-house retail systems.
Flexibility: Available to work a flexible retail roster, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in furniture or high-value homeware retail is an advantage, though not essential for a candidate with strong transferable big-ticket retail experience.
Initiative: Ability to work autonomously using your own initiative, with the professional judgment to escalate complex operational issues to senior management when appropriate.
