ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to youth in diverse residential and community settings. Your core duties will include:
- Providing essential emotional support, practical guidance, and tailored care to children and young people.
- Managing residential, community, and emergency care packages in locations such as Birmingham, Cumbria Peterborough, Southampton, and across the UK.
- Utilizing your expertise to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively, applying approved physical intervention and restraint techniques.
- Working collaboratively with social care teams, local authorities, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the young people in your care.
We are looking for individuals who have a genuine passion for working with children, particularly those requiring support with challenging behaviors. To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: Proven experience in working with children and young people, with a specific focus on de-escalation and managing challenging behaviors.
- Right to Work: Full UK Right to Work is mandatory (Unrestricted status only; we do not provide visa sponsorship).
- Driving Requirements: A valid UK Driving Licence and access to your own personal vehicle are essential.
- Flexibility: A willingness and ability to travel nationwide for short-term or ongoing care packages.
- Certifications: Possession of a PMVA, Conflict Resolution, or Restraint Training certificate is highly preferred. (In-house training is available for suitable candidates who wish to complete this qualification).
