The Opportunity: What You Will Gain
In this role, you will bridge the gap between theory and practice, developing highly sought-after professional skills. You will be responsible for:
Behavioural Support & Intervention: Learning how to provide behaviourally based support to successfully reduce barriers to learning and improve overall quality of life.
Data-Driven Progress Tracking: Collecting, recording, and analysing data on learner progress to objectively evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and care plans, making adjustments where necessary.
Curriculum Delivery: Planning, preparing, and executing tailored lessons on-site and within the community to build crucial social, educational, and independence skills.
Holistic & Personal Care: Supporting individual empowerment and dignity by ensuring learners' personal care, hygiene, dressing, and health needs are fully met.
Community & Vocational Integration: Guiding learners through social and leisure activities, as well as facilitating access to local employment opportunities.
Who You Are:
We are looking for analytical, resilient, and forward-thinking individuals who demonstrate a strong professional drive. To succeed in this role, you will need:
Relevant Experience: A background (professional, personal, or voluntary) working with individuals with disabilities or young people.
Resilience under Pressure: The ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations and feel comfortable managing challenging behaviours safely and professionally.
An Analytical Mindset: Sound literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English is desirable) to accurately interpret verbal and numerical data.
Strong Communication: The capability to build trusted relationships with learners, families, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining absolute confidentiality.
A Growth Mindset: A passion for professional self-development and a genuine desire to master specialised methodologies in autism support.
