- Afternoon Shift (20% premium): £23.46
- Night Shift (35% premium): £26.39
- Overtime 1.5 (Mon-Sat): £29.33
- Overtime 2 (Sundays): £39.10

Role Overview
The Transportation & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and administration of domestic and international transport operations, ensuring the timely and compliant movement of parts, kits, and finished goods. The role acts as a key liaison between carriers, customers, warehouse operations, and international suppliers to maintain service levels, support continuous improvement initiatives, and manage transportation compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Planning & Execution
- Coordinate and manage outbound SO's across multiple customer and supplier networks.
- Ship outbound kits, parts, service orders, and urgent customer requirements.
- Manage transport booking calendars to support operational requirements and returnable packaging availability.
- Monitor transport schedules and delivery slots through Transwide, ensuring adherence to agreed service levels.
- Open and manage delivery slot schedules while coordinating with carriers and receiving teams.
- Investigate and resolve late deliveries, missed collections, and transportation disruptions through direct carrier engagement.
- Participate in regular carrier review meetings to address performance, container movements, and operational challenges.
International Shipping & Export Compliance
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation for international customers and suppliers.
- Produce export documentation, proforma invoices, and compliance records to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Monitor and track international transportation activity to support audit and compliance requirements.
Returnable Packaging Management
- Manage returnable packaging inventories and stillage counts for key customers and suppliers.
- Coordinate packaging availability to support transportation plans and operational requirements.
- Prepare returnable packaging performance reports and end-of-month management presentations.
- Support packaging recovery activities to minimise shortages and maintain supply chain continuity.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse transportation data to identify opportunities for delivery slot optimisation/improvements
- Produce weekly operational summaries and KPI reports for management review.
- Maintain freight logs and tracking records for urgent collections, customer requests, and operational escalations.
- Monitor transport compliance metrics and provide reporting to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Customer Service & Operational Support
- Process transportation-related claims for lost or damaged shipments.
- Liaise with warehouse and operational teams to coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries.
- Support administrative and compliance activities, including contractor documentation and site access requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for carriers, internal stakeholders, and external partners regarding transportation and logistics concerns.
Key Skills & Experience
- Transportation, logistics, or supply chain coordination experience.
- Knowledge of freight booking systems, transportation management platforms, and SAP.
- Experience managing international shipping documentation and export compliance processes.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and customer service.
