Job Title: Adult SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Cranleigh area, Surrey
Working Pattern: Full-time, Term-time only (Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (pro-rata)

We are partnering with a warm, dedicated specialist independent school seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support young people with complex learning needs. About the Setting
Set in expansive grounds near Cranleigh, this independent special school supports children and young adults aged 5-19 with speech, language, communication difficulties, and autism. The campus features custom-built sensory spaces, therapy suites, and outdoor learning areas designed to foster independence and confidence in a calm environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group educational and emotional support throughout the school day.
- Assist pupils with personal care, mobility, and daily living skills with dignity and respect.
- Implement individual education and behaviour plans alongside class teachers and speech therapists.
- Support pupils during active outdoor learning, vocational tasks, and break times.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience working with SEN, autism, or care environments is preferred, though a compassionate and resilient attitude is essential. Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable.
- Characteristics: Patient, empathetic, adaptable, and eager to learn within a supportive team.
- Transport & Commute: Due to the rural location, a full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are strongly recommended.
