Ready for a seamless transition into a supportive, fast-paced team?
At Randstad, we are looking for a skilled and autonomous Adult Social Worker to step into an impactful role focused on safeguarding and assessments. If you are someone who can walk into a new environment, pick up a busy caseload, and hit the ground running from day one, we want to hear from you. We need an experienced professional who can manage complex safeguarding concerns with confidence and minimal supervision.
The Extras That Give You the Edge
While not strictly mandatory, we are highly prioritizing candidates who can bring the following to the table:
- Council Officer Trained: If you are already trained as a Council Officer / Section 42 Lead, your application will go straight to the top of the pile.
- Mosaic System Experience: Being proficient in Mosaic means you can log in and start working without the friction of system training.
Why Join Us via Randstad?
- Premium Pay: Highly competitive hourly rates from £30 to £38/hr, paid weekly.
- True Flexibility: Enjoy a 36-hour full-time week, or opt for a better work-life balance with condensed hours (e.g., a 4-day compressed week) or a minimum of 30 hours over 4 days.
- On the Move: Because this role involves community-based assessments, a Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle are essential, keeping your days dynamic and varied.
What You'll Be Doing
You will be at the forefront of protecting and supporting vulnerable adults within the community. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Leading and contributing to complex safeguarding inquiries and risk management.
- Conducting robust, person-centered assessments to determine care, support, and mental capacity needs.
- Utilizing the Mosaic database to accurately record case notes, assessments, and safeguarding documentation.
- Travelling across the local area to meet service users, conducting face-to-face visits and interventions.
The Non-Negotiables
To ensure a smooth and immediate start, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Qualified Social Worker: Valid registration with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council).
- Safeguarding Experience: Proven track record of handling adult safeguarding cases and Section 42 inquiries.
- Driver: Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- Availability: Ready to start ASAP or on a very short notice period.
