City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking a high-calibre Deputy Team Manager to play a pivotal leadership role in safeguarding adults across the district. Offering a top-tier pay rate of £51.41 per hour, this strategic post works directly alongside the Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) and multi-agency partners to drive performance monitoring, audit quality, and service improvement across adult safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Safeguarding Leadership: Lead comprehensive quality assurance, audit frameworks, and performance monitoring to ensure vulnerable adults are protected and supported effectively.
- Partnership Governance: Work closely with the Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) and multi-agency partners, providing constructive strategic challenge and coordinating joint improvement activities.
- Operational Oversight: Support the daily operational management of the team, offering expert clinical guidance, complex case consultation, and quality oversight.
- Senior Deputisation: Deputise for the Business Unit Manager across strategic board meetings, panel reviews, and regional partnership hubs as required.
What We Are Looking For:
- Professional Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE) or equivalent health/care professional body.
- Leadership Experience: Substantial post-qualifying experience as a Team Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Practitioner, or QA Lead within Adult Social Care / Safeguarding.
- Safeguarding Expertise: Deep working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 (Section 42 enquiries), Mental Capacity Act 2005, DoLS/LPS, and Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs).
- Key Skills: High-level analytical audit skills, strategic vision, and the confidence to hold partner agencies accountable.
