Entering a crisis placement can be a frightening experience for a vulnerable young person. During these vital transition periods, having a empathetic and structured professional by their side can transform their entire journey.
We are actively expanding our support teams across Morriston and Clydach. We are seeking energetic carers to support children dealing with emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties in specialised residential homes.
We welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds in similar roles, including Support Worker, Care Assistant, Education Assistant, Key Worker, Crisis Support Worker, or Childcare Practitioner.
How you will make a difference
- Create Structure: Introduce predictable daily routines that help dysregulated young people feel protected and understood.
- Manage Conflict: Diffuse volatile situations safely using proven de escalation and positive behavioural techniques.
- Maintain Compliance: Document accurate logs that uphold statutory safeguarding standards across all shifts.
What you will bring
- Care Track Record: At least 6 months of paid experience within UK residential childcare or youth services.
- Personal Qualities: Strong resilience, professional boundaries, and a genuine interest in trauma informed care.
- Driving Status: A full UK driving licence and reliable vehicle to help young people access local community events.
