Core Responsibilities
- Child Protection Planning: Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection (CP) plans and Child in Need (CIN) frameworks.
- Statutory Visits & Reviews: Conduct regular statutory visits, chair core groups, and produce detailed reports for Child Protection Conferences.
- Risk Management & Assessment: Complete robust single assessments, evaluate ongoing risk, and coordinate targeted multi-agency support.
- Multi-Agency Safeguarding: Collaborate closely with health professionals, schools, police, and early help networks to ensure children are protected effectively.
Candidate Requirements
- Professional Registration: Qualified Social Worker with active Social Work England (SWE) registration.
- Statutory Experience: Demonstrable post-ASYE experience working within statutory Child Protection, Duty & Assessment, or Safeguarding teams.
- Key Skills: Excellent analytical report-writing ability, confident risk assessment skills, and a commitment to child-centred practice.
- Mobility: Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for community visits.
