Core Responsibilities
- Direct Practice & Case Management: Undertake direct work with children, young people, and families to implement robust long-term care plans and safeguarding interventions.
- Court Proceedings: Manage cases progressing through legal frameworks, authoring detailed court reports and giving evidence within the family court arena.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with schools, health authorities, police, and partner agencies to drive positive outcomes and ensure robust safeguarding.
- Promoting Outcomes: Ensure the child's authentic voice remains at the center of all decision-making and statutory care reviews.
Mandatory Candidate Requirements
- Professional Status: Fully qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Statutory Experience: Demonstrable post-qualifying experience in statutory Children's Social Care (specifically Child Protection, Care Proceedings, or Looked After Children).
- Legal Proficiency: Solid understanding of the Children Act 1989/2004, PLO processes, and court procedures.
