As a Senior Principal Platform/DevOps Engineer, you will hold senior technical authority across our CI/CD, automation, and cloud infrastructure ecosystems. Operating within the Platform Engineering / DevOps Enablement function, you will drive our strategic migration away from legacy monoliths to a next-generation, cloud-native platform built on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes.
This high-impact, hybrid role requires a blend of independent decision-making, hands-on engineering, and local team leadership/mentorship.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Authority: Design and validate architectures for our next-gen Azure and AKS environments; independently select and standardize modern CI/CD and GitOps tooling.
- Hands-on Delivery: Build modular Infrastructure as Code (IaC), establish advanced deployment pipelines (canary, progressive delivery), and optimize observability frameworks.
- Platform Enablement: Treat the platform as a product-building internal tools that reduce friction and cognitive load for application developers.
- Mentorship: Act as a local leader, upskilling mid-level and senior engineers through hands-on coaching and pair programming.
- Cloud & Orchestration: Production-proven mastery of Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes (AKS).
- IaC & Automation: Expert-level Terraform or Azure Bicep, alongside advanced scripting (Go, Python, or Bash).
- CI/CD & GitOps: Deep experience with modern pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps) and GitOps deployment tools (ArgoCD or Flux).
Transformation Experience: Proven track record of guiding engineering teams through monolith-to-microservices migrations.
